Mock Trial Team
Scholarship
UMock Trial is dedicated to empowering students in our community through providing them with the appropriate knowledge and skill sets to succeed. In order to help enhance student involvement, we have started a scholarship program for our Law & Trial Advocacy Summer Conference. High School students who are interested in applying must submit the following via email to UMockTrialTeam@gmail.com
- One letter of recommendation, including contact information of recommender
- A video performance of part of an opening statement, exceeding no more than one minute*
- Personal essay describing why you are interested in our program and why you should be selected, exceeding no more than one page.
*Here is a sample opening statement, which you may use part of for your video if you do not have one of your own. Students who use the sample opening will not be penalized, nor will students who use their own openings be favored or vice versa.
Team Discounts
UMock Trial also provides a group discount for schools that send teams of six or more members to our program. If schools are subsidizing part of the tuition for members, we would be happy to adjust the cost of tuition accordingly.
Great Start Discount
If you are a student who attended the Great Start Commuter Pre-orientation Program at the University of Miami, be sure to select "Great Start" on your enrollment form under "How did you hear about our program?" and submit payment via the PayPal link previously emailed to you.
